RALEIGH– Today, Michael Whatley formally accepted the unanimous endorsement of the North Carolina Police Benevolent Association (PBA) during a press conference in Raleigh.
Whatley was joined by North Carolina PBA President David Rose and local law enforcement to announce the endorsement and discuss the importance of supporting the men and women who put their lives on the line to keep North Carolina communities safe.
The unanimous endorsement reflects the confidence North Carolina’s largest law enforcement organization has in Whatley’s commitment to backing law enforcement, combating violent crime, and ensuring officers have the resources they need to protect the public.
“I’m honored to receive the unanimous endorsement of the North Carolina Police Benevolent Association. Our law enforcement officers risk their lives every day to protect North Carolina families, and they deserve leaders who will always have their backs. Roy Cooper was a complete failure at keeping our communities safe. He released more than 4,200 hardened criminals from prison, supported sanctuary city policies, and pushed for pretrial release and cashless bail policies that put criminals back on the streets. North Carolinians deserve safer communities—not policies that make the job of our law enforcement officers harder. In the U.S. Senate, I’ll always stand with the brave men and women in uniform and fight to keep our communities safe,” said Michael Whatley.
North Carolina PBA President David Rose praised Whatley’s longstanding support for law enforcement and emphasized the organization’s confidence that he will be a strong advocate for officers and community safety in the Senate.
The endorsement adds to growing momentum for the Whatley campaign as leaders across North Carolina continue to rally behind his vision for safer communities, stronger families, and a more secure future for the state.
