WAKE COUNTY – Today, Michael Whatley spoke with hard-working North Carolinians at a roundtable in Zebulon focused on the No Tax on Tips provision of the Working Families Tax Cut Act. The hospitality industry personnel and other job creators discussed how the No Tax on Tips has helped working families across the state keep more of what they earn in their family budget instead of sending it to Washington, DC.

“I will always fight for policies which will let North Carolina workers make more money and keep more money. More than 264,000 North Carolina workers rely on tips to make ends meet and the average North Carolina household paid $5,700 less in taxes on April 15 than they would have had to pay if Roy Cooper had his way and the Working Families Tax Cut had not been enacted,” said Michael Whatley.
