GREENSBORO – Today, Michael Whatley welcomed hard-working North Carolinians and job creators to a roundtable in Greensboro focused on the No Tax on Overtime provision of the Working Families Tax Cut Act. Overtime workers and other job creators discussed how No Tax on Overtime has helped working families across the state keep more of what they earn and make ends meet.

“Millions of North Carolinians work overtime each month to make ends meet and provide for their family. This April, these families paid an average of $5,700 less in taxes thanks to No Tax on Overtime and other provisions in the Working Families Tax Cuts Act – which Roy Cooper opposed. While Cooper has spent his entire career trying to raise taxes, I will fight for North Carolina families to make more and keep more of their hard-earned money,” said Michael Whatley.
